Slatted Frames

Aside of the right mattress, also the slatted frame is important for a restful sleep. The slatted frame not only provides the ideal support of the mattress, but also increases its life time and ensures the necessary air circulation.

Which slatted frame is the right one for you depends mainly from the kind of the mattress you are using. In the case of a softer mattress (eg. latex or foam), the slatted frame should also be flexible (eg. frame “NUBAFLEX”). For firmer mattresses, a slatted frame with fixed slats can also be taken in consideration (eg. slatted frame “FAVORIT”).
Some slatted frames, like our slatted frame “Nubaflex”, also offers the possibility to adjust the degree of firmness.

So how should you adjust the slatted frame properly?
Depending on body weight and personal preferences, the firmness of this slatted frame can be easily adjusted by moving the sliders, located in the middle of the frame. If the sliders are moved towards the center, the slatted frame becomes softer, if they are moved outwards indeed, it becomes harder. People with less body weight should also adjust the frame in manner to make it softer.

When buying a slatted frame, you should also pay attention to the number of layers the wooden slats are consisting of. If these are composed of only a few layers, the spring force of the slats decreases after a short time and can cause a damage to the mattress. For this reason, we only use wooden slats made of at least 6 layers of beech wood.
